Arts and Crafts in Business

I have always been inclined to our family business. I am there since it gave birth to a humble single stall in the market until it rose to a 7-stall store. My last visit to my hometown brought out something that I want to firm up, and that is my great vision to bring it to a supermarket/mall level. Too ambitious, yes. But impossible? Absolutely no!

I know that it is not yet my time to call it quits with the corporate world. I still need a guaranteed and steady inflow in my bank account. But this responsibility to my employer does not mean I cannot work on my vision. I have my mind, my resources, and my little spare time to divest my attention to my vision.

Recently, I started in working with name branding. I researched on cute photos in the net to associate with clothes and accessories, bags, toys, homeware, school and hardware supplies which are our recent expansion. All lumped into one store but I have a long term plan of putting each of this in separate stalls. I created logo for each product line.

I gathered old magazines which I can transform into paper bags. This, of course, are of inferior quality, but way better than ordinary plastics, right? I bet my niece would be enjoying this activity as she likes arts and crafts!

Ermalyn is not Jessa Zaragoza!

Ok. I admit. Holiday mood is creeping all over my system and I am just literally waiting for the sun to set and leave the office (forgive me, boss!). So now that I am useless in my job, the least that I can do is to be useful in other fields like my hobby - and that is writing. :)

Apart from my blog, Twitter is one of my daily dose these days and today a friend of mine had given me a ROFL moment! This gave me an idea to scribe a piece dedicated solely for the long-time name bearer "baby_posh57.

Ermz is a certified trendsetter. Ermalyn is equated to fashion for SGV people. She loves to dress up and so I love her back! Lol! She loves to mix match things - wear a long skirt as a tube dress, hug her hips/waist/breast with an oversized belt, or overlaps one top with another and still looks sane! Not only she has a knack for dressing up, but she too is very creative in terms of coming up with superb group events! I may say, that is one of her many legacies in SGV. =)

This petite Batangena lass also has a gift that's useful to both paper and pen. She can write well. Entertaining as it can be! And oh, photography as well? :D

I love poetry. I am her fan!

Photography. Okay, she likes photography and photography loves her face. She is way too captivating in those lense's end products. No comment on a face to face encounter. Lol!

I am saving the best for last. My dod is someone who can think out of the box. As I said, she sets a trend and her latest victim is the twitter world - the sane world of microblogging. For people who are into chirping right now, you would know that the trending user names starts either with "iam" or "itsme" then their names. Erma wants the other way around, and so she came up with something unique!

Why in the world she chose Jessa Zaragoza? I, too, cannot comprehend. But too many things to worry now, I'll leave it to her. Haha! So, will you guys join Ermalyn's  twitter bandwagon? Lol!

The beauty of scrapbooking!

I never thought that scrapbooking is tiring but equally fun thing to do!

As a surprise for Levy, I was thinking of something that is personally made and something that can emphasize how we grow with each other in the past two happy years. After numerous ideas has been filtered, I finally decided to create my first ever scrapbook.

The theme that I thought of is quite cute. I searched through the net the historical events that happened on August 28 and smartly relate it to our journey as a couple. I give myself a two-thumbs up!

While I was doing the scrapbook, I find it in tune with my personality. Scrapbooks does not revolve around strict methods and borderlines. It is practically putting on ANYTHING that you think would produce a cute and witty product. No hard and fast rule, no methods to follow - only your creative and resourceful mind dominate the whole scene. I like it that way!

Though NBS has ready to use scrapbook accessories (which I thought "scrap" is already a dead word), I find it more interesting when I digged into my old stuffs and look for buttons, keychains, cinema tickets, old purse and other stuffs that I can think of to "beautify" my book. Of course, I am thankful for those NBS items that were really great!

This scrapbooking thing is added to my "favorite thing to do" bucket. Can't wait to make another one!
